The big plus is also the ability to use Logics new MIDI FX plugins, I’m especially fond of the Scripter plugin, no end to ultimate control :)īut lets get back to the External MIDI track again.
The External Instrument plugin is brilliant if you have enough audio interface inputs for all the external hardware.
It is equally perfect for external MIDI hardware, internal multi-instruments as well as obscure routings internal as well as external. The track type External MIDI has been a part of Logic since, well, the dawn of Logic itself I guess. The change needs to be for the better, otherwise it’s only change and change without progress is a waste of time in my book. Well, old habits die hard I guess but I’m no stranger to change, I welcome is as often as possible.
